From The Desk Of Joe Rumbolo August 2006
Early on the evening of Wednesday, July 19th, a most destructive wind and rainstorm swept through the St. Louis, Missouri (my home) metropolitan area, moving south through southeastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois. For those of you who may be geographically challenged or diminished and especially for those of you who may live in other countries, St. Louis is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, which is the boundary between Missouri and Illinois. If you look at a map of the United States, you would find that St. Louis is the "heart" of the country, not the center, but where the human heart would be located.
This storm, which originated north of Chicago, Illinois (about 300 miles northeast of St. Louis), suddenly made a right, southwesterly turn at Chicago (which is a highly unusual weather pattern), hit the Mississippi River and then straddled the river moving south. Because of the out-of-character weather pattern, this storm was a complete surprise. As it began to sweep through the area, I stood at my front door in disbelief watching the powerful, high winds roar down my usually quiet, tree-lined street, ripping huge branches from those trees, some of which landed on the parked cars. A block or two over from mine, there were whole trees uprooted, that fell on cars and completely blocked streets. The high winds (mostly of the straight-line variety) reached gusts of up to 92 miles per hour.
The winds, followed by brief torrential rains not only damaged trees, vehicles, homes and anything else in its path but also knocked out electricity, leaving an estimated 500,000 customers without power. Oddly enough, I did not lose power that night. It was not until 9:30 p.m. the following evening that my electricity went out for about 16 hours, until about 11:15 a.m. the next morning.
After the storm hit, people began to clean up debris, see what they could do to assist neighbors, evaluate damage and figure out how to live with no electricity.
Immediately following the storm, the electric company began to take action, calling in help from seven different states and by Friday morning had already made some headway in restoring power. Then the unthinkable occurred! Late Friday morning, another similar storm of even greater magnitude swept through the area bringing with it even more damage and chaos and un-doing much of the work that the electric company had already done. It was determined that between the two storms, in addition to the powerful straight-line winds, there were no less than seven tornadoes that touched down. Interestingly enough, my power came back on in the midst of this second storm. At one point, after this second storm, an estimated 2.2 million people in the metropolitan and surrounding areas were without power, some of whom remained with no power for more than a week, others with no telephone service and some with restricted or no water service. On top of all of this, July in St. Louis is extremely hot and humid and now for many with no power, no fans, NO AIR CONDITIONING, some with no water, spoiled food and some grocery stores and restaurants closed due to no power, etc. Surprisingly enough, injuries were minimal and fatalities few, as of this writing.
If you have ever experienced a similar event, whether in the intense heat of summer or the bitter cold of winter, you know how devastating and chaotic this all can be. There are so many things that we all take for granted and we usually do not realize it until those things are no longer available to us.
This was the worst storm to hit the area in over fifty years and yet it was nothing compared to the hurricanes that struck the southern states last year, tsunamis in Asia and the destruction caused by the fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel and Lebanon. We, in this area, were allowed a very minute glimpse of the devastation that has occurred and continues to occur in these weather and war-torn areas. I liken this to a vaccination or immunization; not in the sense of becoming immune or numbed to these things, but having experienced a small piece of what this devastation can be, can cause us to be much more authentically compassionate…empathetic would be a better word… ...rather than intellectually compassionate...for the plight of the people in the weather and war torn areas.
There is a considerable amount of spiritual work being done in the St. Louis area, which is a good thing, however, my take is that there is also a considerable amount of spiritual competition. You know what I mean…"My spirituality is better than your spirituality" or "MY spiritual truth is right and yours is wrong"…and an abundance of finger pointing. It is very similar to what we have experienced with organized religions. Perhaps these recent storms can be used as a catalyst to bring people together, regardless of their belief systems and truths.
I offer my thanks and gratitude to you for being here this month and for allowing me this opportunity to express my truth. Scroll down for THE CLEAR VIBRATION and join us in September for another volume of The Channel Channels The Channel™.

THE CLEAR VIBRATION™ August 2006 Installment # 42
Dearest Warriors Of The Light…
It is time to play. It is always time to play. It is time for you to lighten up first, and then to step forward to take on the assignments that you so cleverly gave yourselves prior to this incarnation. Many of you have already had the courage to step in the direction of your passion and some of you have been courageous enough to take that leap off the cliff, risking everything, letting go of your jobs, career paths or businesses, trusting yourselves and the Universe that at the very least you will land on your feet or, you will learn how to fly!
You know who you are and you know what the assignments are. Not only do you know what they are, also know that right now, in this moment of NOW, you are in conference with all the other players…with yourselves…up-dating, adjusting and re-writing your game plans, because you did not know how far along you would be at this time. Even in Spirit, you could not have conceived of the work that you would do and the accelerated progress you would make, but here you are, Dearest Warriors, re-writing and re-vamping your scripts, moment to moment and preparing to take yet another quantum leap in your progression.
WE ARE ONE and we are honored to have the opportunity to address you with another edition of:
Practical Spirituality…The Next
We will be brief this time, having only one topic to address.
What follows is practical information, for practical times and practical people who are practicing practical spirituality!
Have you ever noticed that when a problem shows up in your field you find yourself placing most of your energy almost exclusively on the problem? We know that some of you are saying, "Oh no, ONENESS! Not me." Well, if you are Human, and most of you are, there are times when you do this and are not even aware of it. This is not wrong or right, it just is.
You are aware of the fact that the more you focus on something…the more you think about something…the more it will expand. When you focus on the negative, the negative expands; when you focus on the positive, the positive expands. Humans usually find it much easier to focus on the negative. More often than not, you will find yourselves focusing on the perceived problem and not the solution. We are not saying to completely ignore the situation. Occasionally, ignoring the negative situation does cause it to go away but it usually comes back, bigger and better!
As a Human, your subconscious has been trained or programmed by society in general, to focus on the negative, or the problem. This is not intentional programming, for the most part, it is just what you have learned, being a product of your environment and a product of the perceptions that you hold about the people, places, things and events which have occurred within your environment. Even within the environments created within personal and spiritual growth and development and self-help classes, books, lectures, workshops, etc. way too much time is spent on the problem and little, if any time, is spent in the solution. We are not going to spend time sighting specific personal and spiritual growth and development and self-help classes, books, lectures and workshops. That is not necessary. Instead of focusing on the problem, we will focus on the solution by giving you some practical information, and most importantly, practical tools and the mechanics of how they work, such that you can spend much less time in the problem and much more time in the solution, thusly, allowing the solution to expand.
Let us site an example. Perhaps you may be having some financial difficulties. Throughout the day and evening, you find yourself thinking about how much money you owe, how much money you do not have and how much money you are not making. The more you focus on this, the more the problem expands; and the more the problem expands, the lower your vibration, which causes you to continue to focus even more on how much you owe, how much do not have, how much you do not make; and the spiral continues downward and downward and downward, jamming yourself deeper and deeper and deeper in your garbage, attracting more of the same. Now look, you have all done this, or something like this, no matter who you are. Perhaps it was not about money but instead was about a relationship, a job or your health. It could be about anything.
Have you ever spent so much time in the problem, that your only thought is, "Oh, what's the use? This is ruining my life and there's nothing I can do about it." You may even be thinking, "They're doing it to me again!" Did you ever wake up in the morning in this space and want to just throw the covers over your head and lie there in suspended animation? Sure you have. It does feel safe and secure, doesn't it, but it really is just a false sense of security. Nothing much is accomplished here other than to cause the problem to expand.
Recognize the problem objectively.
Recognize that "the problem" is in fact, an opportunity for learning and growth.
Be Accountable for the situation.
Take Responsibility for the situation.
At this point, you have recognized the problem, you have recognized that within it, there is an opportunity for learning and growth, you are accountable for the situation and you have taken responsibility for the situation. It is important to know that this is an extremely powerful space to occupy because NOW, you can do something about it.
NOW, What's Next?
Instead of standing in the problem and/or lying in the problem with the covers pulled over your head, accomplishing nothing but causing the problem to expand, there is something you can do.
Visualize yourself walking barefoot along a beautiful, pristine, pure white, sandy beach. With each step, the warm sand filters through your toes and it feels so good. In the distance, you notice a quaint little cottage with a cobblestone path leading up to it and you walk toward it. Walking along the path and feeling the smooth stones against the soles of your feet, you see a sign on the door that says,
The Field Of Intention.
You hesitate for a moment with the words, Some Never Leave, zipping through your head, wondering what that is all about, but you courageously turn the knob, push open the door, walk through it and close the door behind you. Once inside, you see that the cottage is furnished in beautiful, uplifting, joyous bright and contrasting pastel colors, creating an electrifying energy that surrounds you and flows through your body causing you to tingle and feel completely alive as both Human and Spirit; this powerful energy being that of potential and possibility! You immediately KNOW that Intention is not something you do; it is a force that exists in the All That Is, in God, in the Oneness, in the Universe, as an invisible field of energy! In fact, it IS the All That Is, God, the Oneness, the Universe. The Field Of Intention is everywhere. From this field, all things are possible…and there are no excuses! Many have entered. Those who never leave are those who have courageously accepted and have taken responsibility for who they truly are. They know that taking on more responsibility is the key to becoming more powerful. This is the space from which they always operate.
Ah, we have digressed. How unusual! Let us continue.
Finding yourself in The Field Of Intention, you wander into the living room and have a seat in an inviting, overstuffed chair, but we have not sent you here to only relax. Our purpose in sending you here was to do some work, if you so desire. That being the case, feel this magnificent energy wrapped all around you and flowing through you. You will notice that it feels as secure and comforting as pulling the covers over you head but with a huge difference. This Is The Real Thing! It is comforting, it is secure and from here, miracles can be created, if you so choose.
What was that problem again? Oh, yes; NOW, ask for solutions. They will come. Perhaps you already have some solutions and have dismissed them. TRUST! As each possible solution comes up, jot it down, no matter how unreal or far-fetched they may seem. Remember, you are in the powerful Field Of Intention, where anything is possible, where miracles are created. If you have spent five minutes in the problem, then spend at least twenty minutes in the solution(s), no more than 20% of the time in the problem and at least 80% of the time in the solution(s).
Focusing On The Solutions will cause The Solutions to EXPAND and this is what you are attempting to accomplish…Expansion Of The Solutions.
Let us recapitulate…
We express to you our most heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the opportunity to present this information to you for your discernment.
ALL OF THIS IS YOURS FOR THE TAKING.
YOUR GLORIOUS CHOICE!
We ask only that you…
Spread The Light
DO NOT FORGET TO BREATHE!
YOU ARE GOD, and So Is Everyone Else.
I AM Joseph…I AM the Sentinel…I AM the human
